EDGECAM, by Vero Software, Hosts Successful Lunch & Learn Event in Dayton, Ohio

EDGECAM conducted a well-attended Lunch & Learn event recently in Dayton, Ohio, where 30 attendees saw the robust software in action and learned how to best utilize its capabilities.

Hosted at Gosiger by EDGECAM, along with EDGECAM reseller Adaptive Technology Solutions (ATS), the event included live programming and machine-tool demonstrations, as well as detailed instruction on the use of EDGECAM’s customizable automation options.

Among the highlighted technologies was the EDGECAM Waveform Cycle, a machining strategy that, in addition to other benefits, reduces cutting time and extends tool life.

“I think most people who have not seen this technology before were impressed by the results,” said Chris Ewald, EDGECAM sales and services manager. “Customers get to see not only toolpath on a computer screen, but parts being cut on a machine tool.”

Event participants were also pleased with “the simplicity and speed in getting from a CAD file to NC code” with the software, said Vic Baker, Vero Software’s partner manager for the Americas.
