ATS To Show EDGECAM At MTMS-Machineering
EDGECAM’s Belgian reseller is demonstrating the software’s 2017 R1 release at the forthcoming MTMS exhibition.
ATS Applied Tech Systems will be showing EDGECAM on booth A16 at the show, which is being held at the Brussels EXPO between March 22 and 24.
Ludo Quanten, from ATS, says MTMS-Machineering 2017’s mission is to present visitors with an array of suppliers and partners who can take charge of transforming production, assembly and subcontracting towards 2020.
“This makes it an ideal showcase for the 50 new and enhanced functionality in EDGECAM 2017 R1 – including the new Tombstone module for assembling pre-existing parts on a defined mounting device, and many items covering turning, milling, wire EDM, machine configurations, and user experience.”
He says the manufacturing industry and mechanical engineering sector will have to implement a number of challenging transformations in order to remain competitive, including:
• Smart and digital production, engineering and assembly
• Smart materials and components
• Lean manufacturing
• High performance, customer focused and resource efficient manufacturing.
“EDGECAM has a major part to play in keeping manufacturers cost effective, enabling them to be more productive, and reduce cycle times.”
