EDGECAM, by Vero Software, Featured at DMG MORI Milwaukee Technology Days Oct. 3-5, Milwaukee, Wis.

Valued for its ability to program any CNC machine on the shop floor, the EDGECAM computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solution, by Vero Software, will be exhibited Oct. 3-5 at DMG MORI Milwaukee Technology Days, hosted at the DMG MORI Milwaukee facility in Milwaukee, Wis.

EDGECAM reseller Manufacturing Technologies Group, Inc., will exhibit EDGECAM at the event, which will feature DMG MORI machinery, new technologies, and live machining demonstrations. Attendees will see EDGECAM in action, as the solution will be used to program parts machined on an NZX 1500 mill-turn machine, and a CMX 1100V 3-axis mill.

In addition to several new and improved capabilities for milling, turning, simulation and wire EDM, EDGECAM 2017 R2 introduces a new turning cycle that includes B-axis movements while machining on a turning center.

This new feature allows greater accessibility when machining complex profiles by dynamically positioning the insert. As the toolholder is gouge-protected, programmers have additional control over the toolpath by deploying over-ride angles. This new cycle can be used with all types of turning tools, and for both roughing and finishing operations.
