Valued for its ability to meet a wide range of machining needs, the EDGECAM computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solution, by Vero Software, will be shown Oct. 3-5 at Wisconsin Manufacturing & Technology Show 2017, hosted at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, Wis.

The Wisconsin Manufacturing & Technology Show is Wisconsin’s largest manufacturing event, and drew over 5,000 guests to its last installment. This year, the event is back with more than 80,000 square feet of exhibit space, products and services. Attendees will experience the latest technologies, find new suppliers, view live machining demonstrations, and interact with industry leaders.

Participants are encouraged to learn more about EDGECAM at booth No. 1300, where EDGECAM reseller Manufacturing Technologies Group, Inc., will perform demonstrations of the software’s time-saving capabilities.

In addition to several new and improved features for milling, turning, simulation and wire EDM, EDGECAM 2017 R2 introduces a new turning cycle that includes B-axis movements for machining on a turning center.

This new feature allows greater accessibility for machining complex profiles because it dynamically positions the insert. As the toolholder is gouge-protected, programmers have additional control over the toolpath by deploying over-ride angles. This new cycle can be used with all types of turning tools, and for both roughing and finishing operations.
