2017 R2 CAD CAM release

EDGECAM, by Vero Software, at Morris Midwest Annual Technology Show & Open House May 17-18, Maple Grove, Minn.

Designed to program any machine tool, the EDGECAM computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solution will be shown May 17-18 at the Morris Midwest Annual Technology Show & Open House in Maple Grove, Minn.

Hosted by regional machine-tool distributor Morris Midwest, a division of the Morris Group, the two-day event will include live metal-cutting demonstrations and an exhibit of Okuma, Tsugami, Hardinge Group, Chiron and Trumpf machine tools. The technology show and open house, designed as a one-stop shop for the latest in efficiency-boosting technologies, will feature exhibits by suppliers of tooling, accessories, software, and more.

EDGECAM features the Waveform roughing strategy, a high-speed machining cycle that is available for milling and turning and delivers consistent tool-engagement with the material, thereby maintaining constant tool-cutting load. By generating smooth toolpath to avoid sharp changes in direction, EDGECAM Waveform maintains machine-tool velocity while decreasing cycle time and increasing tool life.
