EDGECAM To Demonstrate Toolpaths In Seconds, at Industrie Paris
Visitors to the 2014 Industrie Paris exhibition will see for themselves how EDGECAM’s slogan “Workflow – the fastest way to create a program since NC code began,” lives up to its reputation.
EDGECAM, from Vero Software, are demonstrating a wide range of enhancements to the Workflow user interface which enables engineers to apply intelligent toolpaths within seconds.
Antonio Parisse, Vero’s Sales Director in France, says: “Workflow assists with loading and positioning the component, choosing the manufacturing method and suitable machine tools, adding stock material, importing fixtures, selecting a machine and toolkit, and managing strategies to automate manufacture.”
A new machine feature allows machining strategies to be applied with a single mouse click, and without the need to use the planning board. “Thanks to EDGECAM, machining preparations have never been so quick. Easily find all the cutters required for machining a job, add personalised shortcuts, select and position part entities, stock and clamping devices.”
A one-metre globe will also be on display at the booth – 5T73 – which was created in EDGECAM using combined turning and 5-axis milling processes on a DMG DMU60 Evo machine.
With more than 25,000 buyers and opinion leaders expected at the exhibition between March 31 and April 4, Antonio Parisse says it is the ideal showcase to demonstrate how the software can enhance manufacturers’ competitiveness and industrial performance. “EDGECAM is a fast-track, easy-to-use universal tool for programming CNC machines. Its sophisticated and highly optimised toolpaths offer significant gains in terms of productivity when using multi-functional milling, turning and wire EDM machines.”
